The Good Fork restaurant to pay $20,000 to settle EEOC retaliation lawsuit

The Good Fork restaurant (formerly known as Fuzia), a restaurant located in Morgan Hill, California, has agreed to pay $20,000 to a former dishwasher to settle an EEOC retaliation lawsuit.

According to the EEOC, the employee was fired in retaliation several weeks after she reported an alleged indicent of sexual harassment to the restaurant’s owner and to the police.

EEOC attorney William Tamayo said, “It is in everyone’s best interest when workers are secure in knowing that they will not be retaliated against for speaking up against unlawful employment practices. We hope The Good Fork’s new policies and procedures achieve that goal.”
