Montgomery Public Schools Superintendent Barbara Thompson sued for age discrimination

An age discrimination lawsuit has been filed against Montgomery Public Schools Superintendent Barbara Thompson and other MPS officials.

The age discrimination lawsuit (2:2013cv00526) was filed by James Owens in the Alabama Middle District Court. The presiding judge is Myron H. Thompson.

The other individuals named as defendants in the lawsuit are District 1 Vice President Heather Sellers, District 3 President Eleanor Dawkins, Montgomery County School Board Members Melissa Snowden, Beverly Ross, Mary Briers, Robert Porterfield, and W. Durden Dean, HR Director Veverly Arrington, Assistant Superintendent of Operations Donald Dotson, Director of Assessment Services Vickie Holloway, HR Director Ann Sippial, Johnnie Carr Junior High School Principal Kim Pitts, Student Support Services Officer Sophia Johnson, and Assistant Superintendent of Finance Ron Glover.
