A high school kitchen manager at Manchester Essex Regional School District is accusing her boss of workplace bullying and harassment.
Maureen MacLeod submitted a letter of complaint to the district Superintendent Pamela Beaudoin, to the Gloucester Times newspaper, and to other Manchester town officials.
In the letter, MacLeod claims that her boss, Sheila Parisien, created a hostile work environment that was “unbearably verbally abusive” to her and other unnamed employees. MacLeod alleges, “I have been verbally abused and I have had to work in extremely uncomfortable working conditions.”
MacLeod claims that she has complained about her alleged bad boss in the past but the district allegedly ignored her complaints.
MacLeod indicated that she has filed a formal complaint with the school district and is consulting with a lawyer.
District officials have not yet commented on MacLeod’s letter, but it is likely that the district will investigate her allegations.
