Angels at Home, a Georgia-based company that provides custodial and personal care services, has agreed to pay $16,000 to settle an EEOC sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit.
According to the EEOC, Henson made numerous crude sexual comments to the employee and made unwanted physical contact with her. Henson’s wife, Stephanie Henson, is co-owner and CFO of Angels at Home.
The EEOC alleges that the company fired the employee in retaliation when she complained about the sexual harassment.
EEOC district director Bernice Williams Kimbrough said, “This is a further reminder that employers must protect their workers from harassment and not punish them when they complain.”
