Oleh Bula, the principal of the YMCA SKY Academy school in Venice, Florida, was placed on leave on April 29 after a number of school employees complained about workplace bullying and a hostile work environment.
School directors had been conducting an annual employee audit when the employees came forward with the workplace bullying and hostile work environment accusations.
Englewood South County YMCA CEO Ken Modzelewski said that a number of parents also supported the employees’ allegations.
The investigation into Bula’s management practices will continue and a decision about Bula’s future with the school will likely be made in the next few weeks.
