A sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former Tucson Fire Department paramedic will cost the city $125,000.
The city has agreed to settle the sexual harassment case filed by Cody Jenkins. Jenkins claims that he was sexually harassed and assaulted a number of times by former Captain Roger Tamietti.
Tamietti, who has since been demoted, allegedly held Jenkins against a couch and “forcibly humped” him. Jenkins claims that Tamietti also swatted him on his buttocks after taking a shower.
In another indicent, Jenkins claims that Tamietti rubbed his groin against Jenkins’ head.
Tamietti is appealing his demotion and claims that he was only “horseplaying” with Jenkins, who has resigned from the Tucson Fire Department out of fear that he will be retaliated against for filing the sexual harassment complaint.
