Records show former EKU arts center boss accused of sexual harassment and other misconduct

More than 700 pages of documents related to EKU former arts center director Debra Hoskins were released under the Kentucky Open Records law.

The documents point to a number of accusations made against Hoskins, who left the Eastern Kentucky University Center for the Arts in June 2012, including sexual harassment, ethical violations, fiscal misconduct, and falsification of university records.

Hoskins was accused of creating a sexually hostile work environment by repeatedly pinching another woman’s breast and discussing her sex life as well as the sex lives of others in front of employees and students.

The recently published documents include letters that Hoskins sent to university officials in which she denied some of the allegations and claimed that a personal vendetta was being conducted against her.
