A Tennessee jury has awarded $1.5 million to four former employees who sued New Breed Logistics for sexual harassment and retaliation.
The EEOC, which represented the four ex-employees, claims that a bad boss subjected three women to a sexually hostile work environment that included sexual touching and lewd, obscene, and vulgar sexual remarks.
According to the EEOC, the warehouse supervisor boss later fired the three women, who worked as temporary employees, when they complained about the sexual harassment.
This boss also allegedly fired a male New Breed Logistics employee in retaliation for opposing the boss’s harassment and for agreeing to serve as a witness for the women when the company investigated their allegations.
