Sex discrimination lawsuit filed against U.S. Security Associates

A former employee at U.S. Security Associates has filed a sex discrimination lawsuit against the Chicago-based company.

Joyce LeGrand, who was hired by U.S. Security Associates on September 3, 2010, claims that she was fired for a minor incident on February 15, 2012, while male employees involved in more serious incidents were not terminated.

LeGrand also alleges that her male coworkers received better hours and overtime and were paid more than she was.

LeGrand filed a sex discrimination complaint with the EEOC in October 2012, and the EEOC issued a right to sue notice on January 28, 2013.
