Sexual harassment lawsuit costs the National Guard $231,000

A judge has ruled that the National Guard must pay $231,000 to a former employee who filed a sexual harassment lawsuit.

Vikki Rouleau claimed that she had been subjected to a sexually hostile work environment that included numerous unwanted sexual advances and being slapped on the buttocks by a coworker.

The judge ruled that the National Guard failed to adequately investigate her sexual harassment complaint.

Rouleau, who worked as a technician with the DC National Guard at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, resigned in November 2010.
