NY attorney general asks NFL to clarify its sexual orientation discrimination policy

New York attorney general Eric Schneiderman wrote a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and asked him to clarify the NFL’s sexual orientation discrimination policies.

Although the NFL’s police prohibits discriminating against employees and prospective employees, including football players, based upon their sexual orientation, a number of college football players said that at least one NFL team asked them last month at a scouting event if they had a girlfriend, if they were attracted to women, and if they were married.

The NFL announced last month that it would investigate these allegations.
