Hostile work environment allegations made against Cherry Hills Village City Manager John Patterson

Three former Cherry Hills Village employees have filed a lawsuit against the city and its city manager, John Patterson.

The employees claim that they were fired in retaliation for helping a coworker file a sex discrimination and hostile work environment complaint against Patterson.

According to the complaint, Patterson, who was then the Chief of Police, created a hostile work environment that included discriminatory and sexist comments, screaming, and yelling.

Two employees, including the city’s prosecuting attorney Suzanne Rogers, helped their coworker write a letter to the mayor complaining about the alleged hostile work environment.

The women claim that they were fired in retaliation for complaining to the mayor, while Patterson was promoted to the city manager position.

The City of Cherry Hills Village released a statement denying the allegations.
