College of DuPage board of trustees candidate was previously fired amid sexual harassment accusation

Frank Flores, Jr., who is a candidate for the College of DuPage board of trustees, used to be employed by the college in 2010 as an assistant aquatics manager until he was fired for allegedly sexually harassing a female lifeguard.

The lifeguard accused Flores of subjecting her to verbal sexual harassment. According to the Daily Herald, a male COD student corroborated her claim and said that he also witnessed Flores touching the female lifeguard.

In another incident, a woman using the pool filed a complaint with the college police department accusing Flores of making inappropriate comments to her. The woman later declined to press charges.

Because of these incidents, the College of DuPage fired Flores and made him ineligible for rehire.
