Judge allows KPMG gender discrimination lawsuit to proceed

A federal judge in Manhattan has ruled that a gender discrimination lawsuit filed against it by five former female employees can proceed.

Judge Jesse Furman denied most of KPMG’s requests to dismiss the women’s claims. The women, who are seeking class action status for their complaint, allege that KPMG discriminated against its female employees bt denying them equal pay and advancement opportunities.

According to the complaint, KPMG also subjected pregnant employees to discrimination.
