Burger King sexual harassment lawsuit settlement

Carrols Corp, the world’s largest Burger King franchisee, has agreed to pay $2.5 million to settle an EEOC sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit.

According to the EEOC, a class of 89 female employees were subjected to a sexually hostile work environment while working at various Burger King restaurants across the country that were managed by Carrols Corp.

The women, some of them whom were teenagers at the time they were allegedly sexually harassed, claim that their supervisors, in most cases, subjected them to obscene comments and jokes, sexual propositions, unwanted touching, stripa exposure, exposure of genitalia, strip searches, and even rape.
