2nd sexual harassment lawsuit names former Port Allen Mayor Derek Lewis

A second sexual harassment lawsuit alleging that former Port Allen Mayor Derek Lewis created a sexually hostile work environment has been filed against the city.

The former assistant chief administrative officer, Cenceria Dalcourt, alleges that Lewis sexually harassed her by repeatedly propositioning her for sex and bragging about his sexual abilities.

According to the complaint, after Dalcourt rejected Lewis’ sexual advances, he began retaliating against her by harassing her and threatening her job.

Former Assistant Chief Financial Officer Philip Mason previously claimed that he witnessed Lewis sexually harass a number of female city employees.

In June 2012, the FBI announced that Lewis was sentenced to 40 months in prison after he plead guilty to to violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act based on his corrupt activity while mayor of the City of Port Allen.
