Virginia Commonwealth University sexual orientation discrimination allegations

The Virginia Commonwealth University women’s volleyball coach, James Finley, alleges that we was subjected to sexual orientation discrimination.

Finley claims that he was fired in discrimination by VCU’s new Athletic Director Ed McLaughlin because he is openly gay.

Finley’s firing comes after having been the women’s volleyball coach for eight years and having led the team to the national semifinals, which is why Finley thinks that anti-gay discrimination is the reason why he was terminated.

VCU has apparently launched an investigation into Finley’s claims.
