Spectrum Bags $150,000 EEOC sexual harassment lawsuit settlement

IPS Industries, doing business as Spectrum Plastics, has agreed to pay $150,000 to settle an EEOC sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission accused a former warehouse supervisor at the Cerritos, California-based plastic bag manufacturer of subjecting four female employees to sexual harassment.

According to the EEOC, the warehouse manager subjected the four employees to frequent inappropriate comments, touching, text messages, and invitations to accompany him to hotels and parties.

The warehouse supervisor allegedly disciplined and terminated the women when they objected to and opposed his advances.
