Palm Beach Police Department discrimination and harassment lawsuit

A workplace discrimination and harassment lawsuit has been filed against the Palm Beach Police Department by five current officers and one former officer. The officers who filed the complaint are Jason Vega, Artemis Saridakis, Gilad Bockman, Marcus Farmer, Samuel Riley, and Levente Henter.

The officers claim that they were subjected to a hostile work environment by their superiors that included discrimination and harassment based upon the officers’ race, national origin, gender and religion.

According to the complaint, Scott Duquette, when he was a captain, often used racial and ethnic slurs as well as sexual innuendo and gestures to the officers. Director of Public Safety Kirk Blouin and Deputy Chief Daniel Szarszewski have been accused of witnessing Duquette’s behavior and doing nothing to stop it.
