Marion County Sheriff’s Office sex discrimination lawsuit

Kristine Phillips, a former deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, has filed a sex discrimination lawsuit against the county. Phillips alleges that she was subjected to sex discrimination when she was terminated.

According to the complaint, Phillips was terminated “in substantial part because she opposed sex discrimination and because she engaged in the protected activity of filing a lawsuit against Marion County.”
