Edison Township hostile work environment lawsuit

The New Jersey Township of Edison has agreed to pay construction employee Lisa LaRue $157,000 to settle a hostile work environment lawsuit that LaRue had filed.

LaRue claims that former Business Administrator Dennis Gonzalez and Township Engineer John Medina subjected her to harassment, creating “a hostile work environment so intolerable it would force LaRue to either carry out their unlawful directives or resign.”

According to LaRue, Gonzalez and Medina subjected her to retaliation after she refused to engage in certain unlawful activities that the two men had allegedly asked her to carry out.
