BellSouth $120,000 sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit settlement

The EEOC announced that BellSouth Telecommunications, a subsidiary of BellSouth Corporation, has agreed to pay $120,000 to settle a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit.

According to the EEOC, two female BellSouth employees were sexually harassed by the manager of the call center in Kennesaw, Georgia where they were employed. The women claimed that their supervisor routinely talked about sex, made inappropriate sexual comments during company meetings, and pantomimed engaging in sexual intercourse on the floor of the conference room.

The two women also alleged that they were denied promotions and demoted in retaliation when they complained about the harassment.
