2 Texas agencies will pay $175,000 to settle EEOC discrimination lawsuits

The Texas Department of Agriculture and the Texas General Land Office have agreed to pay $175,000 to settle EEOC and US Department of Justice sex discrimination lawsuits.

The EEOC and DOJ claimed that the two Texas state agencies subjected a number of female employees to gender-based wage discrimination. The female employees were allegedly paid less than their male counterparts.
