In August a California state appeals court lowered a $4.3 million jury award by $2 million in a sexual harassment lawsuit against Qwest because it felt the $4.3 million award was excessive.
The money had been awarded to Amy Moran, a former Qwest Communications employee for having been subjected to sexual harassment by her boss, Dennis Sherwood. Moran claimed that the harassment had become so intense that she was forced to quit her job at Qwest.
San Francisco attorney William A. Gaus from the law firm Dillingham & Murphy LLP represented Moran in the sexual harassment lawsuit against Qwest.
William Gaus passed away on September 21, 2012 at age 67.
