Knox County prosecutors terminated after reporting State’s Attorney John Pepmeyer sexual harassment allegations to receive $500,000

A wrongful discharge lawsuit filed against Illinois State’s Attorney John Pepmeyer and the county by three former Knox County assistant state’s attorneys is being settled for $550,000.

The attorneys, Dean Stone, Mike Kraycinovich and Tracy Jones, filed the wrongful discharge suits when they were fired by Pepmeyer in 2007 shortly after they reported allegations that Pepmeyer sexually harassed three female secretaries.

According to The Register-Mail, Knox County has also settled the sexual harassment lawsuits filed by Constance Griffith, Jennifer Brown and Teresa Cummings, though the settlment amounts have not been reported.
