International Association of Firefighters Local 4420 $166,000 retaliation lawsuit

A federal judge upheld a retaliation jury verdict against the International Association of Firefighters Local 4420 and ordered the union to pay two firefighters $166,000.

The judge also overturned a racial and religious discrimination verdict in the lawsuit that the two firefighters, Anthony Booth and Jerry Brown, had filed against Pasco County.

Booth and Brown claimed to have been retaliated against by the union after they filed the discrimination complaints.

Florida attorney Cynthia Sass represented Booth and Brown in their lawsuit against the International Association of Firefighters Local 4420 and Pasco County.
