Fresno Police Department $300,000 hostile work environment lawsuit

The City of Fresno has agreed to pay deputy police chiefs Sharon Shaffer and Robert Nevarez $300,000 to settle a hostile work environment lawsuit that they filed against the city.

Shaffer and Nevarez alleged that Police Chief Jerry Dyer created a hostile work environment by making negative remarks about racial minorities and women and then retaliated against them when they complained about the remarks.

California attorney Warren R. Paboojian from the law firm Baradat & Paboojian, Inc. represented Shaffer and Nevarez in their hostile workplace lawsuit against the City of Fresno.
