A federal jury today in Seattle awarded $485,000 to Washington National Guard Sergeant Grace Campbell.
For example, Campbell claims that her direct supervisor, Lynn Joebgen, told her that her work was her “primary job” and more important than her military service. Joebgen also allegedly told Campbell that she had heard that Campbell’s deployment had been voluntary and threatened to speak with human resources about her job.
Another supervisor at Catholic Community Services, Becky Fager, was allegedly dismissive of Campbell and began to deny her leave to participate in some of her National Guard activities.
Washington attorneys James W. Beck and Andrea H. McNeely from the law firm Gordon Thomas Honeywell LLP represented Campbell in her military discrimination lawsuit.
