Bluffton $236,000 age discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuits

The Town of Bluffton has agreed to pay former police lieutenant Katherine Sours $236,000 to settle two lawsuits that she filed against the town.

Sours sued for age discrimination and wrongful termination after she was allegedly demoted and laid off because of her age. In a complaint that she filed with the EEOC, Sours claimed that Police Chief David McAllister made several comments that demonstrated that her age was one of the reasons why she was fired.

South Carolina attorney Nancy Bloodgood from the Foster Law Firm represented Sours in her age discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuits against the Town of Bluffton.
