EEOC sues Phoenician Medical Center for sexual harassment

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Phoenix-based Phoenician Medical Center.

The EEOC is accusing the company’s Chief Medical Officer of making inappropriate sexual and derogatory comments about female employees and patients. ¬†According to the lawsuit, other managers at the Phoenician Medical Center knew about this hostile work environment but did nothing to stop it.

Employees who complained about the Chief Medical Officer’s harassment were allegedly retaliated against by being disciplined and in some instances terminated.
