EEOC alleges racially hostile work environment at U-Haul

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a racial harassment lawsuit against U-Haul for allegedly subjecting Nathaniel Baldwin and other black employees to racially offensive slurs by a white boss.

The EEOC claims that Baldwin’s boss made derogatory comments to him and other black U-Haul employees.

Katharine W. Kores, director of the EEOC’s Memphis District Office, said, “It is appalling that racial harassment and the use of racial slurs are still found in today’s workplaces.  Employees should not have to endure a racially hostile work environment in order to earn a living.”
