The EEOC announced that a federal jury awarded Kerry Woods, a former ironworker at Boh Bros. Construction Co., $451,000 to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit.
Woods claimed that his boss created a hostile work environment by verbally harassing Woods and exposing himself to Woods.
After Woods complained about his boss’ sexual harassment, the EEOC claimed that Boh Bros. retaliated against Woods by transferring him a lower-paying job at another location and then firing him.
Commenting on the verdict, EEOC General Counsel P. David Lopez said, “All workers, male and female, are entitled to earn a living free from harassment based on sex or sex stereotypes.”
