Wyoming Supreme Court affirms hospital’s decision to punish bully doctor

The Wyoming State Supreme Court ruled that St. John’s Medical Center was justified in revoking Dr. Christian Guier’s surgical privileges in 2006 after the entire operating room staff signed a “Work Refusal Petition” to protest the “hostile work environment” and “psychological abuse” that they suffered while working with Guier.

St. John’s operating room workers complained that Guier screamed at and abused employees during the 14 years that he worked there.

Guier had appealed the hospital’s decision and sued the hospital and a number of physicians for “malicious destruction of his medical career.”
