Hostile work environment complaints allegedly filed against Fairhope Police Chief Bill Press

Rhonda Bishop, the former HR director of Alabama’s city of Fairhope, claims that she was fired last month for confronting Fairhope Police Chief Bill Press about a number of hostile work environment complaints that she had received from Press’ employees.

At a public hearing before the city council, City Administrator Gregg Mims said that Bishop was fired because of performance issues and not in retaliation.

  1. You don’t see many complaints about police and especially hostile work environments in this economy. Most people want to keep their jobs, so they usually won’t bring up this kind of stuff. Very interesting honestly…
