Judge calls Frenchtown Fire Chief John Bibler’s actions ‘abusive’

In a recent ruling that acknowledged that Frenchtown Fire Chief John Bibler threatened to kill a fire department volunteer, Justice of the Peace Karen Orzech wrote, “The court finds the behavior of Mr. Bibler to be threatening and abusive, yet plainly stupid.”

Bibler has been under investigation by the Frenchtown Fire Board of Trustees since December, and he is currently on paid administrative leave. 

The investigation was launched after volunteer Jenny Ross accused Bibler and David Streeter of subjecting female fire department employees to sexual harassment.
