Scituate Police Department accused of pregnancy discrimination

Scituate Officer Amanda O’Shea has accused the police department and Town Administrator Patricia Vinchesi of pregnancy discrimination for denying her request for reasonable accomodation after she developed pregnancy-related high blood pressure.

According to the complaint that O’Shea filed with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, O’Shea requested from Police Chief Brian Stewart to be placed on administrative duty, but her request was allegedly denied by Vinchesi.
