A former nurse at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whitter, CA has accused a surgeon of sexually harassing her during a job interview.
La Savio claims that Kronson encouraged her to apply for a nursing job at a business that he owns called Gia Laser Aesthetic Center in Claremont, CA.
According to the Whittier Daily News:
La Savio went to his office in Whittier for an interview on Jan. 2, 2010, according to the lawsuit. But he allegedly wanted to interview her instead for a sales position in his father’s company. She was told Kronson’s father was involved in businesses that required extreme secrecy, according to the lawsuit, and Kronson insisted that job candidates be injected with sodium pentothal, or truth serum, during interviews.
But after La Savio was injected, the doctor asked about her personal life, sexual preferences, sexual fantasies and whether she found him attractive, the lawsuit claims. He also allegedly pulled down his pants and injected himself in the groin area.
La Savio reported the incident to the Whittier Police Department and the Medical Board of California, both of which are conducting investigations.
