Judge rules that Lucasfilm should pay $1.2 million to lawyers in pregnancy discrimination case

Judge Lynn O’Malley Taylor ruled that Lucasfilm should pay the $1.2 million that the plaintiff’s attorneys in last year’s pregnancy discrimination case had requested.

In the case, a jury found that Lucasfilm committed pregnancy discrimination and wrongful termination against Julie Gilman Veronese.

Veronese, who was awarded $113,830, claimed that Sarita Patel, the manager of George Lucas’ residential compound, had revoked a job offer after discovering that Veronese was pregnant.
