Grayville pays to settle sexual harassment lawsuit filed against former Mayor Henry Kijonka

The Illinois city of Grayville has agreed to pay former employee Shelly Osborne an undisclosed amount to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit that she had filed against former mayor Henry S. Kijonka.

According to Evansville Courier & Press, “In the complaint, Shelly Osborne alleged that on a number of occasions, Kijonka, a retired Illinois State Police trooper, came up behind her and kissed her on the neck, massaged her shoulders and made ‘repeated suggestive comments of a sexual nature about the plaintiff and other female employees in the office.'”

Osborne also claims that Kijonka exposed himself to her and approached her from behind and stuck his hands down the front of her sweater.
