Employee sues New Orleans Port Board of Commissioners for racial discrimination

Last month, an African-American employee filed a race discrimination and retaliation lawsuit against the Port of New Orleans Board of Commissioners.

Frederick Brown claims that he was denied a pay increase that a white coworker received.  Brown also alleges that his supervisor made racially derogatory comments and said that lighter-skinned employees had a better chance of being promoted.
