City of Greensboro will pay $91,000 to settle EEOC age discrimination lawsuit

The City of Greensboro in North Carolina has agreed to pay $91,000 to settle an EEOC age discrimination lawsuit.

The EEOC had alleged that the city discriminated against Terry Pearson, who was 58 at the time, by hiring three younger job candidates who were less qualified.

Even though Pearson has substantial experience relevant to the position he had applied to, he was not offered the job by the city.
