Massachusetts State Police employee accuses her female boss of sexual harassment and retaliation

AnnMarie LaFauci, a Massachusetts State Police employee, has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit accusing her female boss, Barbara Bennett, of retaliation after LaFauci rejected Bennett’s unwanted flirting and sexual advances.

In an interview with The Boston Globe, LaFauci said that Bennett became hostile when she complained about the flirting.  LaFauci claims that Bennett told her, “Who knows, AnnMarie, accidents happen, they could find you in the back parking lot with blood pouring out of your head.”

LaFauci claims that she has received excellent evaluations from all nine of her prior supervisors during her 19 years with the State Police, and she received an award in 2006 from the Governor of Massachusetts for “outstanding performance.”  Bennett also allegedly complimented LaFauci as a “highly motivated and enthusiastic” employee before LaFauci asked Bennett to stop harassing her.
