The Philadelphia-based restaurant accused of race discrimination by bartender Michael Bolden has agreed to settle Bolden’s lawsuit.
As part of the settlement, McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon, will take steps so that it will be able to prevent discrimination in the future.
Walt Wyrsta, the general manager accused of sending racist text messages and emails, was fired after an internal investigation that the restaurant conducted. According to the complaint, one of Wyrsta’s messages stated: “We don’t want black people we are a white bar!”
