Lucas County Sheriff James Telb accused of creating “unhealthy work environment”

Lucas County Sheriff internal affairs investigator and whistleblower Jon Rogers, whose actions led to an FBI investigation into the death of Lucas County Jail inmate Carlton Benton, testified in court that Sheriff James Telb created a hostile and “unhealthy work environment” for Rogers.

Rogers testified that he paid a high price for blowing the whistle on the circumstances of the Benton death.  Rogers said, “I’ve been harassed, called a cancer that needs to be stopped, been locked out of my office. It’s been hell for two years.”
