Happy Days Children’s Wear to pay $22,500 to settle EEOC pregnancy discrimination lawsuit

A woman who had worked for a New York-based children’s clothing retail store for seven years filed a pregnancy discrimination complaint with the EEOC when she was fired shortly after becoming pregnant.

After being sued by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Happy Days Children’s Wear, Inc. agreed to pay the former employee $22,500 and to furnish other relieve in order to settle the pregnancy discrimination lawsuit.
