Last month, a 1,000-page file on the criminal investigation of Former Cuyahoga County Sheriff Gerald McFaul was released to the public.
According to the file, shortly after McFaul became sheriff in 1977, he began collecting money from his employees. Estimates are that he may have collected over $500,000 from his workers. McFaul was also accused of giving promotions to his friends and family members.
The investigation file mentioned that McFaul was sued for sexual harassment years ago, and he had engaged in a number of affairs with his female employees.
