Ann Arbor Days Inn franchisee pays $50,000 to settle EEOC sexual harassment lawsuit

Ann Arbor Nights, Inc., doing business as Days Inn Hotel of Ann Arbor, has agreed to pay $50,000 to settle an EEOC sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit.

The EEOC had alleged that the Days Inn franchisee subjected a female Spanish-speaking housekeeper at a sexually hostile work environment.  The EEOC claims that the woman was sexually assaulted by a supervisor, who attempted to rape her. 

The housekeeper was allegedly retaliated against by being denied work for having refused her boss’s numerous sexual advances.
