EEOC files disability discrimination lawsuit against Denver army surplus Western Trading Company

Earlier this month, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a disability discrimination lawsuit against Denver-based army surplus store Western Trading Company, Inc.

The EEOC claims that Western Trading failed to make reasonable accommodations for Tyler Riley, a former employee with epilepsy who has grand mal seizures.  The EEOC also claims that Western Trading terminated Riley in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).

EEOC Regional Attorney Mary Jo O’Neill said, “Myths, fears, or stereotypes about epilepsy are insufficient grounds for refusing to accommodate the disability or for terminating an employee with epilepsy.”

  1. I suffered severe neuological permanent total disabling injury from awestern Trading in 1996.. i never have received ONE CENT from Pinnacol Assurance or employer… i too filed an EEOC complaint but i guess yoy have to be man to get paid in this state ! i AM FED UP. i went to college for 9 years and cannot work. i have nothing and can do nothing im lucky im alive and tyler gets paid and not even there a WEEK ! UNBELIEVABLE and im SMOKING MAD !

  2. There was a data breach security of my claim one of which was in 2010. Since EEOC is not the easiest to follow i believe Mr. Riley is obe of the ones who came into posession of and have used my work product committing fraud against the federal government and obtaining payment for my work. i intend to pursue this matter personally because first of all .. liar .. and second of all nobody is going to work for 8 years on work product which sounds very similar to my work and doubtful Mr. Riley has enough education to comprehend exactly what it was to get paynent especially when the job is blue collar and didn last even a week. That employer didnt send you home .. i will be seeing you in court for MY MONEY !
