Former employee sues North Carolina military contractor for sex discrimination

TigerSwan Inc., a North Carolina military contractor that is building a firing range in rural Cumberland County, is being sued for sex discrimination by former employee Lucinda Lawrence.

Lawrence claims that she was discriminated against by company president Brian Searcy and former program director Henry Carpenter while working for TigerSwan in Iraq.

According to the Fayetteville Observer, “Lawrence accuses Carpenter of being abusive, dramatizing stories and creating situations in which he could blame her, she says in her complaint. Lawrence also alleges she was sometimes denied meal breaks, was sworn at and was referred to as ‘ugly.'”

The lawsuit also names TigerSwan CEO James Reese.
