Former employee accuses San Bernardino County DA Mike Ramos of sexual harassment

A former employee has filed a lawsuit alleging that San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos subjected her to sexual harassment, assault and battery, and retaliation

According to the Daily Press:

Cheryl Lynn Ristow, 50, of Redlands claims she and Ramos began a consensual sexual relationship in 2003 when she was an investigative technician, according to the lawsuit filed Monday. Ristow claims that after the relationship ended, she faced a hostile work environment and retaliation, including being written up for a dress code violation. Ramos has denied all of Ristow’s allegations. Ristow filed a $1.5 million claim with the county regarding the alleged sexual harassment in January.

Ristow claims that she and Ramos engaged in at least 20 sexual acts at Ramos’ office and in his county-issued car.  According to the lawsuit, Ristow also claims that she and Ramos had more than 50 phone conversations, including 15 sex talks using county-issued cell phones, and in 2005, she alleges that Ramos grabbed and fondled her without her consent in his office.

Ramos denies the allegations.
